Lesson principles

Guri Riding Club indoor arena

Before you ride, we explain how to handle the horse and what the horse you will ride that day is like. If you feel nervous or uncomfortable at any point during the lesson, please tell us.

  • The coach checks your helmet strap and stirrup length
  • Horses are assigned to suit your height, weight and experience
  • Corrections come with an explanation of why
  • Lesson content is adjusted to the horse's condition
  • We tell you the goal of your next lesson in advance

Club horses

Most of the 19 club horses we ride in lessons are Thoroughbreds retired from racing.
